Of Birthdays and Shoppings
Anyway it was Shaun Chan's birthday anyway! Darn ACJC parties are always so nice and lively (and rowdy). So much more fun as compared to HCJC. ACSians always bring out the mood haha. But one solitary ACSian cant do much la. Bought him a shirt haha damn funny. It is black based with " INDEPENDENT " at the front. with small print "truck company below that". Of course the main focus is the independent!! haha.. Thought it was interesting to get him that. Got significance. I pasted a huge AC sticker in front of the INDEPENDENT, where the original logo is..haha den wrapped it up nicely. Shaun unwrapped his pres at home and this are his words " hey yo bro thanks alot for the present man! Laughed my balls off when i saw it. THANKS! "
Btw few days ago went out with yongneng abel Shaun and Letitia too! haha DAMn fun outing!! Didnt do much we jus walked around.. crapped talked..usual AC nonsense..haha. We all went shopping, trying to find nice retro shirts. Not easy la. went topman zara isetan blablabla still nothing much. Ah yongneng has this fetish for thick leather coats with lots of fur i realized..haha. Interesting. Abel likes stripped shirts, and likes to wear polos with 'em tucked in. Oh yes finally found a shirt i liked. Some maroon shirt. DAMNn nice! Darn didnt have enough money so didnt buy. But all of them agreed it was NICE. Suited me. Makes me look macho too! =) It was kinda gay too haha all of us guys were all squeezed up in the changing room lol.
Talking about squeezing in changing room yesterday during's Shaun's party at Swenson's Kenneth decided we all guys play a game. See how many guys can fit into one cubicle! haha DAMN FUN. Its not something you get to do everyday lol. Forgot how many but yeah, this kinda things form nice memories =).
Talking about shoppin few weeks ago just shopped for someone. FIRST time i shopped so much for one person in my whole life!!! Think maybe cos i got too much time la..haha.. Rachelle brought me around. thanks rach! I seriously learnt alot of stuff.. And now i can use that skill to shop for my own stuff! Alot of things i want now haha, besides bike components and assesories. Need a few shirts too! I'm short of stylish clothes..need ta buy more man!
Anyway yeah. Buy one present only had to walk the whole of Orchard Road! NOT only that..had to put my brain into use too. First had to brainstorm about all the things that i could possibly buy for her. 1. perfume but dunno wat scent to buy. Saw this mango scent, looked highly presentable.haha maybe next time. ( i called it smell. Thanks to Rach for correcting me haha ) Saw this mango scent, looked highly presentable.haha maybe next time. 2. Clothes, tops hard to choose, skirts no. 3. Lipgloss and such? dunno redearth all these. Glittery pink sounded good. 4. Jewellery was what i finally got haha.
But no that's not all there is to the brain usage part! Besides brainstorming and zooming in on what to get still had to remember where all the things that i thought were considerably good were located! " ah yeah that necklace from adfjaldj this earring from asdjfioaj. But den asdf. " But argh this is comparable for shoe/racquet/bike shopping in queensway whatever. Need to spend hours comparing prices and models and stuff. Bike is worse you compare by shops and the shops all located so far apart form each other. But shopping is different in the sense that, you CAnt do online research before going down to get stuff!
After brain usage comes Visualisation. This is when all my art skills come in haha. Principles of contrast blabla. I had to visualize and see if what i wanted to buy suites her style and such. Well at least she has a definite style which is quite unique so rather easy to buy stuff. In the end got her a pair of earrings. Nice! Pauline yongneng and rachelle all agreed to. so that was set. Also bought a necklace too!
Ah the necklace, the day before i bought the earrings i was out shopping with rach late at night. Den walked pass this shop she recommended. It was clossed so we did window shopping. Den saw this necklace. WA NICE! it's damnnnn sweeeeet.. Pinkish with some butterfly. I looked at it and straight away was like " wa perfect match ". Next day went back. SOLD OUT! Dammit. damn fast. The person there searched the shop but still dont have, so she offered to help me check if the other outlet has. Fortunately there was stock, so i travelled down to bugis to collect it.
That's not all! Had to buy a box! So went to kalm's to get a box.
Ah such a drudgery. But well it was quite an experience haha. Now i noe how to shop. I sure hope that my efforts were worthit too! If the receiver doesnt appreciate them den ahh nothing to say man. i probably wouldn't shop again lol.
I don't expect much, I never did anyway, this i've learnt after one year. Jus a sincere 'thanks!' and a heartwarming smile would be more then enough.
